YardBird Watchin'

Here are three pages that I pounded out tonight in a few hours. It is for the Fluke festival anthology.

the cuteness wears off somewhere in the middle of staying up all night to finish a few pages (while watching Chicken Little TWICE, ugh) then waking up early to make the 5 hour drive to Athens for the mini-comic festival then finally making it all the way back home that night. We'll never go back to Athens with the intentions of coming back on the same day. I think maybe we'll just never go back to Athens. That sounds like the better plan to me.

Hi David,
The images with the chicken are absolutely amazing, especially the central page. Your graphic style for pillowhead todd amazing works with your more realistically cross hatched areas. I have to say though, the top page seems a bit congested: the panels are roughly the same size, creating way too much anxiety for me. Jamie

Jamie,
I wasn't that excited about the first page either. Granted, I did do these all (from start to finish) in 3 hours.
I'm trying to figure out if I should lean more toward the full-ink hatching (chickens) or the graphite hatchwork (pool story)...

I have to say, definitely lean towards the full-ink catching, it looks more fresh. jamie
